Christian Initiative for Transformation (CIT) was established in 2022 in response to the pressing spiritual, social, and economic challenges faced by communities in South Sudan and beyond. Recognizing the profound impact of faith in fostering resilience and hope, CIT aims to make disciples who make disciples (Mathew 28: 18-20) and see multiplication, healthy churches, individuals and families through the teachings of Jesus Christ. The organization was founded by a group of dedicated Christians who sought to create a platform for holistic transformation, addressing not only spiritual needs but also the practical challenges of daily life in a post-conflict society. Through various programs and initiatives, CIT strives to build a brighter future for the people of South Sudan, rooted in faith, love, and community support.
CIT embraces and actively trains ministry leaders and communities across South Sudan to develop ministries that are self-sustaining, self-governed, and self-propagating. Through practical training, mentorship, and empowerment initiatives, CIT equips individuals and churches to become independent, responsible in leadership, and committed to multiplying disciples and groups within their communities.
To inspire and equip individuals and communities in South Sudan to live out their faith actively, fostering spiritual growth, social justice, and sustainable development through the love and teachings of Jesus Christ.
To be a beacon of hope and transformation in South Sudan, fostering spiritual growth, community empowerment, and sustainable development through the teachings of Jesus Christ.
To transform lives and communities in South Sudan through faith-based initiatives that address spiritual, social, and economic needs.
CIT affirms the following foundational beliefs:
We believe that the Holy Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and serves as the supreme guide for faith, doctrine, and conduct.
We believe in one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, equal in power and glory.
We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, fully God and fully man, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, who lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died as a substitutionary sacrifice for humanity, rose bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return in power and glory.
We believe that salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone, and not by human effort. Through repentance and faith, individuals are forgiven, regenerated, and restored into right relationship with God.
We believe in the active ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells and empowers believers for godly living, spiritual growth, and effective participation in God’s mission.
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, nurture believers, and make disciples of all nations, with a special commitment to reaching unreached people groups.
We believe that every believer is called to a life of holiness, integrity, and obedience, reflecting the character and teachings of Jesus Christ in both word and action.
We believe in demonstrating God’s love through compassionate service, community development, and sustainable initiatives, including agriculture, as a means of addressing poverty and promoting human dignity.
We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of the dead, and the final judgment, leading to eternal life for the redeemed.
Collaboration is at the heart of the CIT mission. We partner with world-class organizations and dedicated supporters to drive sustainable development across rural landscapes. Through these synergies, we transform lives and create lasting social impact. Join us in our journey to empower the underserved and lead the way in community innovation
